Yev Belov graduated with a Bachelors in Business in Technology Management. Prior to joining the ACCES team in 2012 as the Information Technology Technician, Yev had spent nine years working in the veterinary field. His past experience inlcuded raising puppies for Summit Assistance Dogs.

Roy Brock, MBA, CFO, graduated with a Bachelor of Science, History from Austin Peay State University in Clarkesville, Tennessee and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Roy has the distinction of joining ACCES in 2003 as its very first employee. Outside of ACCES, Roy is actively involved in the community serving as a current Governor Appointee on the Washington State Board of Optometry and has served as President of the Lake City Chamber of Commerce, on the North Seattle Community College Technical Advisory Board and the Lake City North District Council.

Hanna Dagg joined ACCES in 2012 as a kennel assistant and recently joined our client services team. Hanna graduated from the University of Montana where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism.

Joshua Martin joined the ACCES team in 2008, but has worked in veterinary day practices as a receptionist, kennel and veterinary assistant since 2000. Joshua also gained additional animal care experience as a volunteer at Sarvey Wildlife Center and as a dogsledder. His special interests are in veterinary medicine, biochemistry and genetics. Josh owns two cats, Possum and Panda, who are part of the ACCES Blood Bank donor program.

Lorraine McLaughlin began her career in the veterinary field at ACCES in 2013 as a client services representative. Prior to joining ACCES, Lorraine had worked extensively in retail sales including work at Eddie Bauer and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. All of which gave Lorraine a strong customer service ethic. New to the Northwest, Lorraine moved to this area after graduating from the State University of New York in Plattsburgh in 2010.

Kate Paisley began her career in the veterinary field at ACCES in 2010 as a member of the client services team. Kate went on to assume the position of referral coordinator for the ACCES Cardiology and Internal Medicine specialty departments. Prior to joining ACCES, Kate had completed her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a Minor in Film Theory from Mills College in Oakland, California. Kate is active in the community having volunteered for Northwest Harvest. She is also an avid runner who accomplished her first 8K in 2013.

Emmy Russell joined ACCES in 2013 as a member of our client services team. Prior to joining ACCES, Emmy worked as a pharmacy technician in Bellingham, Washington where she attended Western Washington University. In her spare time, she is active in the community having volunteered at Salty Dog (Seattle dog rescue) and various local cat rescue organizations. In her spare time Emmy loves to spend time with her cat Rigger and dog Ellie, practices yoga, gardens, and enjoys dirt biking in the Pacific Northwest.

Janelle Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a minor in Dance from Whitworth University. She is currently attending the University of Washington and working towards her MSW. Janelle began her veterinary career by joining ACCES in 2013 as a member of our Client Services team. Prior to joining ACCES, Janelle had worked with the Peace Corps in the Phillipines.

Nya Stilwell, SPHR, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and earned her certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) in 2012. Prior to joining ACCES as the hospitals' human resources manager in 2006, Nya was previously the administrator of a larger veterinary practice in Southern California. Nya’s experience in the veterinary and animal care field extends to her past work as a zookeeper with both wolves and large cats.

Riki Strough, LVT, joined ACCES in 2005 and is currently the ACCES operations and purchasing manager. Prior to joining ACCES, Riki had worked in the veterinary field in California since 1998. Her interests in the field extend to emergency medicine and orthopedics.

Cynthia Swanson graduated from Apollo College in 2005 and worked at a general practice before joining us as a veterinary assistant in December 2008. She can be found these days handling things at the reception desk or taking your pet's vitals. She enjoys radiation therapy and says the opportunity she has to pet all of our cute patients is one of her favorite aspects of the job. In her spare time, she enjoys white water rafting, hiking, swimming, skiing and gardening with her husband and daughters. 

Beverly Thiessen began her career in the veterinary field as a receptionist at a day practice in 2008 as a receptionist. Prior to joining the ACCES client services team in 2013, she had worked for nearly 20 years in customer service positions. Beverly also completed her nursing certification at El Toro Community College in El Toro, Texas in 1984. Active in the community, Beverly has volunteered with the Northwest Rottweiler Fanciers since 1995 and has assisted at herding trials since 2000.

Alex Uhrich graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biocultural Anthropology from Western Washington University and is currently working towards her Master’s degree with a goal of pursing a doctorate. Alex has worked with ACCES on and off since 2009 and has worked in the veterinary industry since she was 16 years old. Alex has also spent time volunteering at PAWS in Lynnwood.

Suzanne Waltner joined the ACCES client services team in 2013. Prior to joining ACCES, Suzanne had already spent nearly three years working in the veterinary field and more than seven years in client services. She is currently fulfilling her pre-requirements at Highline Community College with the plan to enroll in the Pierce Community College Veterinary Technician Program. Suzanne is actively involved with the community and has volunteered previously with King County Animal Services as a “kitty cuddler.” In her spare time, she loves fishing, hiking and pretty much anything outside.

Alexis Warner graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California Lutheran University. Alexis joined the ACCES team in 2010 and is currently the ACCES referral coordinator and ACCES Seattle reception lead. Alexis’ interest in veterinary medicine took root when her childhood dog became a patient of ACCES.

Jon Wieringa is the Technical and Hospital Manager at ACCES Renton. Jon began his first job in veterinary medicine nearly 25 years ago, and has worked in emergency medicine and critical care for most of the last 13 years.  He has a special interest in critical care and trauma anesthesia, is a boarded Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care and a member of the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians.  In his free time he works as an EMT, search manager, and search and rescue K-9 handler for the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Tera Wilbur rejoined the ACCES team in 2011 after a brief time spent as a receptionist at a local veterinary day practice. Tera is currently a member of our client liaison team and acts as the lead receptionist at ACCES Renton. Tera earned her Microsoft Applications Certificate from the Business Computer Technical Institute in 2002 and is currently pursuing course work in business management. In her spare time, Tera is actively involved with her children’s school and enjoys the company of her dog Fayth and her retired ACCES Blood Donor cat Waffles.

Shin Zhang joined ACCES in 2008 and brought to the team more than 10 years of experience in business and human resources administration.
