Cardiology
The ACCES cardiology service provides advanced diagnostics, specialized care and long-term management for all types of cardiovascular problems. Congenital and acquired heart diseases, arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure are all among the conditions diagnosed and treated by our highly skilled cardiac team.
Our board-certified cardiologists are dedicated experts in the field who strive to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to the cardiac patient. Our team utilizes cardiac ultrasound, contrast studies, short and long-term EKG, and blood pressure analysis to make an accurate diagnosis and develop the most effective treatment option for the pet. Our cardiologists are committed to improving the quality of life in pets with heart disease.
In addition, our cardiologists often collaborate with our extended specialty departments to ensure our patients receive the highest quality care available. This includes in-hospital access to specialists in internal medicine, radiology, critical care and oncology as well as access to our 24-hour intensive care unit staffed with experienced veterinarians and licensed technicians.
Client communication and education is a key component of our cardiac team’s treatment strategy. We work to educate owners on all aspects of heart disease in pets including medications, ongoing monitoring and risks of treatment. Ongoing communication with the family veterinarian is also essential to help monitor and manage the progression of the disease. These steps are all taken to ensure consistent care.
